Who we are
The Card Traveler is an independent project created by two people who got tired of sifting through outdated, generic «best credit card» lists that never quite answered the real question: which travel rewards card actually makes sense for a specific traveler, in a specific situation.
We are not a bank, we don’t work for a card issuer, and — at least for now — we’re not even a registered company. We’re just two people building the resource we wish existed when we were comparing our own travel cards.
What we do
We focus specifically on travel rewards credit cards: premium travel cards, airline and hotel co-branded cards, and the direct, head-to-head comparisons that most sites skip in favor of generic «top 10» lists. Every comparison is built by reviewing each issuer’s official terms directly — annual fees, welcome bonus requirements, rewards categories, travel credits, and lounge access policies — so you can see the real trade-offs side by side.
How we make money
This Site is currently supported by display advertising (Google AdSense). We may add affiliate partnerships with card issuers in the future. Any such relationship will never determine which cards we choose to cover or how we rank them — you can read more in our Disclaimer.
Our commitment
We update our comparisons when issuers change their terms, and we clearly disclose when we haven’t yet verified a recent change. If you ever spot outdated information, we want to know — reach out at administracion@thecardtraveler.com.
